Ever since seeing (and being thoroughly unnerved by) Black Swan last weekend, we’ve become re-obsessed with Natalie Portman. We’ve always really liked her and clearly she’s a talented actress, but her performance in the film was so visceral that we feel like we’re seeing her in a whole new light. Appropriately, The New York Times Magazine has dubbed her one of the 15 actors who “defined cinema” this year, an honor for which she posed as a Veronica Lake-esque 1940s screen siren, blonde wig and all.
Portman is almost unrecognizable in the video, that is, until she begins shedding layers of the costume; first her dress, then her gloves, then finally her wig.
