Natalie Portman Goes Topless in Miss Dior Cherie Fragrance Ad Campaign

It sure has been a busy couple of months for Natalie Portman: engagement and pregnancy with fiancé Benjamin Millepied, smashing success of "Black Swan," Vogue cover and now a sultry debut as the new face of Dior fragrance.

In Miss Dior Chérie ads that will hit print and television in March, a coquettish Portman poses topless with a glance over her shoulder, sporting only a simple black bow that is a nod to the fragrance's packaging in her tousled hair, and a decidedly naughty look on her face.

Photographer Tim Walker shot the ad campaign, and none other than Sophia Coppola (who is also quite the fashion plate herself) directed the on-screen commercial version.

Retailing for $59 to $95 depending on size, the best-selling Dior fragrance blends sweet notes of strawberry and tangerine with light floral scents of jasmine and violet. Musk and patchouli form the base, and an unexpected splash of caramelized popcorn makes for a yummy dry-down.

French fashion house Dior hedged its bets on the 29-year-old actress when signing her this past summer, and the strategy couldn't have turned out better, with the glamazon striking continual press coverage in recent weeks, including whispers that she could take home an Academy Award for her performance in "Black Swan" -- on the set of which she met future hubby Millepied.

The already-svelte Portman lost 20 pounds during filming, due to a merciless schedule that included six to eight hours a day of classical ballet dancing and training.

"I told director Darren Aronofsky, I was like, 'First you got me skinny, and now you're getting me fat,' because he introduced me to my fiancé. It's the greatest gift he ever gave me," Portman told the press.

We're not so sure we'd call it "fat," Natalie, but healthy and glowing? Yes.
