Kylie Jenner, half-sister to the Kardashian girls, is a striking 5′9″ model. She is also 13. The first modeling photos of Kylie were just released, and we’re just not sure what to think of them. (Also, the Kardashian-Jenner crew includes 10 kids as a product of 4 separate marriages between Kris and Bruce Jenner. Confusing!)
The pictures are pretty, and while Kylie doesn’t look as mature as the 15-year-old who graces the cover of Vogue Paris with Tom Ford, she’s a far cry from the gawky braces-clad 13-year-olds we once were. And because she’s 13, we feel weird saying she has more of a commercial look than a high fashion look. Then again, it might be because she’s 13.
But modeling runs in the family. Her 15-year-old sister Kendall is signed to Wilhelmina, and even has a reality show in the works. She’ll star in LA Prep, a spinoff of Bravo’s so-awful-we-love-it NYC Prep. (Let it be known Kendall is the only prep school-attending cast member — the rest go to public school in the Valley.)
However, Kylie is a bit tamer than Kendall, whose then-14-year-old bikini bod caused some controversy this summer. Regardless, big sis Kourtney doesn’t see a problem with Kendall or Kylie’s photos: “I can’t tell you how proud it makes me feel to see my little sisters looking so beautiful and mature and seeing them grow, follow their passions and explore new opportunities.”
