So when he met Janelle Monae backstage after one of her concerts in Berlin and just gushed for a minute straight about how awesome and unique and totally cool she is, it’s a little hard to quantify just how much it might have meant.
The living legend and the legend in the making ran into each other about two weeks ago, and video of this momentous occasion recently hit the web. Is it as earth-shatteringly huge as Lady Gaga meeting Anna Dello Russo? No, not quite — but that’s only because you don’t know who Janelle Monae is yet.
